Women on Vinyl

Monday March 8th is International Women’s Day, a day to celebrate women and raise awareness against bias. We celebrate this day by bringing an ode to women in music by selecting four vinyl records by amazing artists.

Patti Smith is considered one of the big influences on the New York City punk rock movement in the seventies. Cyndi Lauper made an enormous impact on pop music when she made her debut in 1983.

Carole King is one of the most successful female songwriters of the latter half of the 20th century. And last but not least: Nina Simone ‘The High Priestess of Soul’. Miss Simone is a legend that put her stamp on a broad range of musical styles.

Four amazing women that are absolute legends in the music industry and still have a great influence on today’s music.
