Miles Davis was an American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and composer. He is among the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th century music. Davis adopted a variety of musical directions in a five decade career that kept him at the forefront of many major stylistic developments in jazz. During his career, Miles Davis earned the nickname ‘the Picasso of Jazz’. This album contains a collection of his best songs between 1957 and 1961.

McKinley Morganfield (April 4,1913 April 30, 1983) known professionally as Muddy Waters, was an American blues singer songwriter and musician who is often cited as the “father of modern Chicago blues”, and an important figure on the post war blues scene. His style of playing has been described as “raining down Delta beatitude”.

Aretha Franklin was an American singer, songwriter and pianist. Franklin began her career as a child in Detroit. At the age of 18, she embarked on a secular career recording for Columbia Records. However, she achieved only modest success. Franklin found commercial success and acclaim after signing with Atlantic Records in 1966. Songs such as “Respect”, “Chain of Fools”, “Think”, “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”, and “I Say a Little Prayer” were all charting hits.
